Power Living Advanced Athlete Training is about inspiring athletes to find a physical balance between strength and surrender while increasing their ability to concentrate their minds; thus comprehensively improving performance, longevity and overall wellbeing.
POWER LIVING ADVANCED ATHLETE TRAINING is a system that has been derived from the ancient teaching of Yoga blended with an understanding of modern day exercise science to deliver an effective and powerful methodology to train athletes.
This methodology includes training the athletes in a way that develops muscle flexibility and joint range mobility aiming to increase strength at full range of movement, thus reducing the chance of injury in their given sport and aid in recovery.
The system focuses on two main areas, recovery after performance and building strength, flexibility & mental clarity for the next performance.
The training methods used include a set of postures that are practiced dynamically, then holding each posture for up to a minute before moving through another set of dynamic postures to arrive at a another posture you hold. Each movement is linked to a breath cue, aiming to concentrate the mind and move with mindful awareness. This way of training provides many great benefits both physically and mentally.
Advanced Athlete Training was developed by master instructor and founder of Power Living, Duncan Peak. Duncan has utilized an extensive repertoire of knowledge, including over 20 years studying Yoga and studies in Neurospinology as well as years of practical experience to develop the program.
