Class Descriptions

Power Living Yoga Basics

This is our introduction class that starts with a brief description or short teaching on a pillar of the practice to help you understand the postures and our philosophy the right away. This class is still dynamic but very safe and slower than the open classes. You will be taught how to modify postures to suit your needs. You rest as you like and will be well cared for, a great way to start getting into the groove of Power Living Yoga, give it a go!

Power Living Yoga (Our Open Classes)

These are the classes on the schedule called Power and they ROCK! They are dynamic and powerful, empathetic and graceful. They have it all and vary each class depending on your teacher and what we are focusing on that week. Get ready to sweat and transform your body, mind and life!

Power Living Yoga Groove (Intermediate and Advanced Classes)

These classes are where we experiment and integrate new teaching and sequences often exploring deeper postures and inversions. They are well suited to intermediate and advanced students but newer students are also welcome but encouraged to work safely and be a spectator as required. All of our teachers rotate through these classes and you will experience everything from funky beats to traditional chants, handstands and who knows maybe we will even levitate! Either way we get high on life and enjoy the bliss that comes with getting your mind out of the way.

Power Living Restorative/Revive

The Yin to balance the Yang, these restorative classes offer the time to go deep into your body, often holding posses for long periods and slow movements between. This is a great way to work gently if you need to take care of yourself or dive deep into the connective tissue release so many of us need and the body craves for. Try it out, it is essential to a well rounded yoga practice.

Power Living Pre/Post Natal Power Living Pre Natal

Our pre and post-natal classes are available to any of our mums to be who still would like to keep up their Yoga practice throughout their pregnancy. It is also available to mums who have had their child and would like to ease back into the practice. You can also bring the little one with you up to 6 months old and they can be close to you in the room as you go through your moves. We only ask that if they are making a fuss you will need to leave the room and settle them down before returning. Once they're mobile then unfortunately you won't be able to bring the little one with you.

In the classes, you will learn all the modifications you need to take whilst in your pregnancy. The room with be gently heated to about 24 degrees so that it is comfortable for you and the bubs and so you won't overheat your body.

Private Classes

All of our senior teachers are available for private classes. If you're interested in a more individually tailored session you can opt for a one-on-one or get a small group of friends together for a private class. Private sessions are a great option if you are dealing with an injury or are looking for a springboard to help you overcome any hurdles in your practice and explore new and uncharted terrain! We recommend private sessions to all our students to ensure you get the most out of every yoga practice you do.
