Rafael started practicing yoga in 2005 as a way to support his martial arts practice. However, it wasn’t until completing his 200-hour Vinyasa and Yin teacher training in Ecuador in 2019 that he truly began to understand and appreciate the depth of yoga and its impact on daily life.
In late 2021, Rafael left a 20-year career in banking to follow his passion for health and wellness, transitioning to teaching yoga full-time. He has since completed Advanced Vinyasa, the Evolve Teacher Program and trained with Annie Carpenter.
Rafael’s classes focus on helping students connect deeply to their body and breath, fostering awareness that extends beyond the mat. His teaching encourages mindfulness in movement and daily life, creating a practice that supports both physical and mental well-being.
“The practice of yoga works at a physical, mental and emotional level & may be rewarding and challenging. We invite you to take care and participate to a level that you feel most comfortable.”
