Mel

Mel brings over 16 years of experience teaching yoga, fitness, and dance, driven by a passion for movement’s holistic benefits. Starting with ballet, she danced professionally for 15 years and later, after a corporate career, returned to teaching. 

Mel completed the 200-hour Yoga Teacher training with Power Living in 2014 and has gone on to complete several Power Living 500-Hour teaching courses, including The Art of Assisting, Advanced Vinyasa Sequencing, Being of Purpose, Yin Level 1 Foundations and Yin 50-hour. Beyond yoga, Mel has also completed Certificate IV Fitness (Personal Training) and is instructor qualified in Pilates Matwork and Reformer, Animal Flow and several fitness programs. She is in her final year of a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition.

Yoga became a healing force for Mel after personal challenges, which inspires her powerful, alignment-focused classes with philosophy and a lighthearted touch, encouraging students to realize their potential. Her classes will encourage you to believe you are capable of more than you think, both on and off the mat.
