Yin yoga has seen a significant rise in popularity recently, becoming an essential practice for those looking to unwind from the demands of everyday life. Known for its slow pace, introspective nature, and meditative quality, Yin yoga offers a much-needed change of pace in today’s fast-paced world.
This training will be led by Duncan Peak and Emma Burridge, and supported by our senior teacher Tamsin Ash.
The only prerequisite for this course is that you love YIN YOGA and are curious about learning more. Yoga teachers with a minimum 200hr qualification can earn 75hr or 100hr training hours.


We are thrilled to offer this world-class Yin Yoga Teacher Training, available entirely online or in a hybrid format, combining online learning with in-person sessions. The course runs for six weeks as an interactive digital classroom including two interactive Zoom calls for all participants and complimentary Livestream yoga membership to practice at home.
Students can opt for just the 75 hours of online study or extend their learning with an additional 3 days of in-person facilitation to earn a 100-hour certification.
The Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Power Living will equip you with the knowledge and certification to teach Yin yoga with confidence and clarity to students of all levels. You’ll dive deep into applied anatomy and physiology, particularly as it relates to the fascia (connective tissue), and how this influences movement in the body. Additionally, you’ll explore foundational concepts like meridian theory, Anatomy Trains theory, chakra theory, and traditional meditative practices that support the Yin state for students.

Duncan is the founder of Power Living who, over the last decade, has successfully pioneered contemporary yoga styles and set the highest standard in asana facilitation, teacher trainings and yoga retreat delivery in Australia. With a background in neurospinology, he has completed extensive traditional yoga studies with Georg Feuerstein, practiced Raja Yoga for nearly 20 years and taught at international yoga festivals all over the world. An self-professed anatomy and philosophical geek, Duncan wants to inspire and be inspired by his students. Tamsin Ash is Power Living’s Head of Yoga and Pilates and has been teaching yoga since 2008. Tamsin has completed over 500 hours of training in Vinyasa and Yin and is a certified Mat and Reformer Pilates teacher.
Tamsin teaches with the intention of guiding students to become more in tune with their bodies, through physical connection of body and breath work. This leads students on a journey of self inquiry, whilst deepening connection to self, using the body as a tool for the mind.
A self-confessed anatomy nerd, Emma’s passion in the inner workings of the human body, drives her teaching. A qualified acupuncturist, 500hr yoga and clinical Pilates instructor, Emma’s classes balance out mobility with stability and yin with yang energies. Her classes are energetic, fun-loving and playfully creative, designed to get you back out of your head and into your body.

Earning a 500-hour certification is a multi year commitment, for those who are keen to continue deepening their knowledge of different aspects of yoga and gaining teaching experience. If you aim to run your own training or become a facilitator on a training course, you will need to become a 500hr qualified teacher.
Yes! Many of our 500-hour level courses require 200-hour certification as a pre-requisite but we welcome students from any yoga education training program.
Yes, most of our specialised programs are available to all students, depending on the content of the course. If the course has a 200-hour prerequisite, it will be clearly noted on the website and all marketing material. And only 200-hour qualified teachers are able to gain hours of accreditation for completing the course.
