A potent and life-changing course that can work around your life and work commitments. The normal timeline to complete is 13 weeks. Due to the Yoga Alliance COVID-19 online provision ending, all course criteria must be completed by 10 Dec 2023.
Both our Online and Hybrid courses utilise our digital classroom. This technology gives you the power to access your course content anytime, anywhere, from your favourite device.
Week 1 Fundamentals: Understand the fundamentals of anatomy for yoga teachers. Begin the journey of asana alignment and get in touch with the pranayama and bandha
Week 2 Anatomy: Look deeper into anatomical intelligence and apply its theory to asana. Begin learning how to teach Sun Salutation A and open the door to traditional yoga studies
Week 3 Sequencing: Continue the applied anatomy journey, expand your sequencing knowledge and build prana learning traditional techniques
Week 4 Philosophy: Gain confidence applying anatomy to asana and develop your practice teaching skills. Be inspired by ancient philosophy delivered by Duncan Peak
Week 5 Integrate: Learn the intricacies of anatomical alignment. Get upside down with arm balance techniques and start to apply ancient yogic teachings to your own personal life
Week 6 Plan Classes: Establish an earthly connection to standing postures and begin to understand how to prepare and create philosophies for class
Week 7 Spine: You’re only as young as your spine is healthy. Learn techniques to keep the spine vibrant and supple, whilst connecting to the heart of yoga
Week 8 Vedas: Dive deep into the ancient texts of the Vedas and Upanishads. Immerse yourself in the Power Living Methodologies that have been used to create our world-class studios
Week 9 Bhagavad Gita: Study one of the two modern-day bibles of yoga, The Bhagavad Gita. Continue the practice teaching journey and expand your Asana knowledge
Week 10 Yoga Sutras: Consider the skills and values of a yoga teacher, study Patanjali’s Ancient Yoga Sutras and geek out with deeper anatomical knowledge
Week 11 Break The Rules: Understand the rules of sequencing so you can break them like a master. Explore the tradition of Hatha Yoga and experience Shatkarma, personal cleansing techniques
Week 12 Deliver Your Class: Create sequences that positively challenge students, inspire their minds with poetic class philosophy and shift their energy through the technology of Hatha Yoga
Week 13 Art of Assisting: The fully in-person weekend is designed to give you the tools to safely and confidently offer hands-on assists to your students in the classroom.
Module 1 – will begin with 4 weeks of online learning, followed by a 4-day in-person block (Thursday – Sunday), then another week of online learning. This structure is repeated for Module 2. During the final weeks of the program, you will complete your written exam online, in-person practical exam and Assisting weekend.
This course format is a combination of Online & In-Person learning. Perfect for a student or anyone who can commit 15-20 hours a week of study for 13 consecutive weeks. The Hybrid course is organised into modules with a 13-week duration.
There are 100 hours of in-person facilitation included in this program. These hours are delivered over two 4-day blocks running Thursday – Sunday (see dates below) and one 3-day block running Friday afternoon to Sunday. For the in-person version of this course register for 200hr TT Hybrid. For the Online Only version register for 200hr TT Online.

PRACTICE TEACHING WITH PEERS
You can choose to do this via Zoom or in person. Pair up with another student(s) from your course and practice your teaching skills together.
ONLINE LECTURES
Online lectures are pre-recorded and delivered through the Teachable platform. They are released weekly over a period of 13 weeks.
ONLINE COACHING SESSIONS
There are a total of 12 online, live-supported sessions focussing on Practice Teaching (Interacting with fellow students and coaching from course facilitators) and Q&A (A Structured Review Of Course Content).
There will be 3 blocks of LIVE online sessions 6 – 7:30 pm running from Monday to Thursday on the following dates:
Block 1 – 18-21 September
Block 2 – 2-5 October
Block 3 – 6-9 November
ONLINE PRACTICE
In order to graduate, you must complete 3 Asana classes each week and track them in your “Asana Practice Log”, for a total of 48 asana practices. A complimentary “Livestream Membership” is included for the duration of your course. If you wish to practice in a Power Living Studio, you are welcome to purchase a Teacher Training Studio Membership for $349 during your 13-week course.

Each week you’ll receive up to 6 hours of lectures, with quizzes to complete. You will attend live online Q&As throughout the course with one of your course facilitators. You will be immersed in approximately 15 hours of study each week for the duration of the course. To graduate you must complete an in person exam weekend.
Yes! Our courses are fully registered with Yoga Alliance & Yoga Australia. Once you have completed the curriculum you will be issued a certificate that you can submit to either organisation. Please note you will have access to the course material for 12 months and the course must be completed by December 1st 2023 to receive certification.
Yes! If you are not ready to commit to the full 200hr program, you can purchase 20hr modules of the 200hr course content. Doing these modules does NOT contribute to achieving a 200hr course completion certificate. If you want more information about this please reach out to our Programs Team: [email protected].
Via the Power Living Education ‘portal’. Once you enroll, you will create an account, use these sign-in details to access the curriculum.
The course content is pre-recorded and is released weekly. Our facilitation team supports everyone participating in the course through the platform and via live Q&A zoom sessions. To finish the course with us, you will need to complete everything by December 1st 2023. Our live support completes after 13 weeks. As part of this program, you are required to attend all portions of the face to face facilitation blocks.
You will have access to the online content each week over the 13 weeks. To get the most out of the course, students are requested to complete the online lectures leading up to the face to face facilitation blocks. If you do fall behind the content shared in the sessions may not be as powerful, as this directly relates to the content that has been worked through that week. All of the Q&As are recorded and uploaded for you to watch back at a later date if you do fall behind. Our goal is to support you in this journey to becoming a certified yoga teacher.
The 200hr Teacher Training includes a Livestream Only studio membership for the duration of your course. If you wish to have access to our physical studios, you will need to hold a separate active studio membership, for which you will receive a discount. There is no requirement to practice in person at our studios.
Practice teaching sessions are run in your own time. A facebook group will allow you to connect with other teacher trainees. We encourage you to do practice teaching with your peers from the course, as they are going through the same experience and teaching methodology and will be able to offer you valuable and relevant feedback.
There are multiple ways to grow as a yoga teacher with Power Living. Our 500hr curriculum is a great way to progress down your yoga teaching pathway. To learn more, click here. These sessions are run by senior facilitators who offer feedback and coaching while you are teaching.
Only 2 texts are required, The Modern Yoga Book by Duncan Peak (recommended to purchase via iBooks) and Key Muscles of Yoga by Ray Long. Details of these are shared with you in your confirmation email when you enroll in the course.
