When you’re focusing your mind on a specific intention during your yoga practice, you are bringing it to your focused mind, your thoughts and most importantly, into your heart and, in turn, helping to bring it into reality.


What is intention setting?


Your intentions are the fuel to manifesting your goals and visions. They can be anything from gratitude, playfulness, being present in the moment, bringing more awareness to your breath, love, being kind, listening to your body or releasing negativity. Mostly it’s the little things that will turn into big things over time. There are no rules except aim to keep your intentions positive and uplifting. The most crucial part is that you are believing in your intention. Don’t set an intention you don’t fully stand behind. You also don’t want to force an intention. Instead you can view an intention like a road map. It will set the direction and become the driving force of your higher consciousness that you will cruise with through your life.



Taking it off your mat


The intention you set in your practice will be a bridge between what you also work through in your everyday life. Your mind will continue to focus on set intention once you step off of your mat. Manifesting in your daily life. This intention is a powerfully, energetic tool to take your practice into the world. It will uplift your energy and increase your vibration in your life.

Whether you realise or not, you are acting as an example to inspire the lives of those you encounter. Once you step off your mat, you will embody this energy and keep it with you. You are expressing a more authentic you.

The above quote sums it up beautifully.  When you step on to your mat, set an intention that resonates with you deeply. From the heart. It will manifest in your life, inspire and uplift yourself and like a ripple effect of positive vibrations everyone around you.
